Catholics Reaching Out is the program that we have put in place for our Catholic brothers and sisters who have-for whatever reasons-fallen away from weekly attendance at Mass. We want them to know the love and care we feel for them. We miss them.

If you are reading this because you haven't always been at Mass lately, WE MISS YOU! WE are diminished because of an empty place at the Table. That place is waiting for you, with all that Christ wants for you-and, quite frankly, we don't want YOU to deprive yourself of this richer life any longer! We need each other!

If a person, by his or her own choice, has not been coming to Church every week, it can be for any number of reasons. It might be due to a past hurt-or fear, or disillusionment, or the busy-ness of our lives with things that just seemed so important at the moment. In some cases there might be a conflict with the person's understanding of Church teaching about any number of various issues. The neglect might simply have become a habit.

Yet none of these reasons need hold a person back from the abundant life and healing that the community at St. William Parish can offer through Christ.

Sometimes people need help or encouragement to come back to a full practice of their faith, and that's where our parishioners can help each other. We do this through hospitality, and sometimes through direct invitation. (Sometimes a friend has to be a real friend!)

Our mission is to bring our brothers and sisters back to the Eucharistic Table. We want them to begin knowing just how good the Good News is!

"We want to let our inactive brothers and sisters know that they always have a place in the Church and that we are hurt by their absence…Every Catholic can be a minister of welcome, reconciliation and understanding to those who have stopped practicing their faith." –Go and Make Disciples: A National Plan and Strategy for Catholic Evangelization,
